Help Choosing

The right access equipment

The first choice to make is: What type of access do you need?

Note: In a work environment the Working at Height Regulations 2005 must be followed and a full risk assessment completed before work commences. More details about health and safety.

Which of the following statements describes the access you need?
Please click on the most appropriate statement or contact us.

1. It's a light duty task that will take less than 30 minutes. The task can be completed mostly with one hand. Or, we need temporary access to a fixed working platform. (This suggests a full Risk Assessment may find a ladder, step ladder or combination ladder could be suitable).

2. The task is less than 3.8m high and two hands are needed to complete the job. (This suggests a full Risk Assessment may find a podium step or folding platform could be suitable).

3. The task is over 3.8m or access will be needed in the same place for a while. (This suggests a full Risk Assessment may find a prefabricated scaffold tower could be suitable).

4. The tasks are up to 15.9m high and not all in the same place. We won't need to get off the equipment at height. (This suggests a full Risk Assessment may find a MEWP (Mobile Elevated Work Platform) or Powered Access equipment could be suitable).
